New to this part of the city and did not have a furnace repair company. Played the Russian roulette game of finding on google. Laird and Son came up top rated. The reviews were so good they were hard to believe. Called them yesterday and scheduled an appointment for this morning between 8am and noon. They have an excellent communication system via text that communicates when the tech is on the way. Daniel Salazar could not have been more professional, competent and courteous. He diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes and came up with a common sense solution where the furnace would start on high fire versus replacing a $1000 dollar board on a furnace nearing the end of its life. Where do you find a company and personnel like that in 2025? No upsell whatsoever. The only thing he forgot to do is put a Laird and Son sticker on the furnace so the next owner knows the only Comapny to call. Russian roulette turned into customer for life. Well done Laird and Son!
I have only good things to say about Laird and Son. Laird has been looking after my heating needs for several years. Some years back I was having difficulty with a furnace heating oil supplier (for my old furnace) and with just one call to Laird, my problems were solved. Up until that time I was not a customer of theirs and they did everything they could to help me with my problem. After that experience I was sold on Laird. Laird installed a new gas furnace for me in 2018 and they have been servicing it ever since. I had a problem with my A/C unit some years back and a visit from one of their skilled technicians had it back up and running in no time. All the people I have dealt with in the office and all their technicians have been very professional and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Laird for all your HVAC needs.
Our furnace wasn’t working properly so we called Laird & Son for help. A problem we have at least 1-2 every winter. Previous, companies didn’t really give any workable solution. Their technician Daniel was extremely helpful and provided us details on why our furnace wasn’t working. It was easy to understand the problem. Best thing- our home is warm now and we’re so happy. Our furnace recently broke and we had a burning smell coming from the vents. We called Laird immediately and they sent us a technician right away. Alex was very professional and was able to run a diagnostics and found the issue. He replaced some parts and cleaned out the system. He explained everything in detail and put us at ease. He was able to fix the furnace quickly and efficiently. We are so thankful to Laird and their amazing staff for taking good care of us in a timely manner.
I have been a customer of Laird for nearly 15 years. Their service technicians and office staff provide terrific customer service. Last evening I had to call as our heat went out in the early evening. Mac was the on call technician and he returned my call very quickly. He gave me an estimate of what time he would likely arrive as he had several other calls ahead of mine. He called me when he was on the way with his estimated time of arrival. When he arrived he was able to diagnose the problem and do a temporary repair to get us heat for overnight. Due to the age of our furnace he did not have a replacement sensor with him but said the office would call me in the morning. By 9:30 am the staff in the office called and set up a time frame for a service technician to come in the afternoon. Daniel arrived late afternoon with the part and installed it for us. Both Mac and Daniel thoroughly explained what they had done and how they had tested the part both old and new.
