Upsold. Didn’t fix problem. Never heard from owner. Just purchased our first home. Noticed the house wasn’t getting hot enough when it was cold outside. Called DuPont since it was local company. Owner, Mario came by told us that we needed a circulation pump, and that he we should fix up our plumbing while they were doing the install. ( Even though it was only 5 years old.) Technician comes by and redoes the plumbing. Estimate was for 4 hours. 5 hours go by and it’s still not working. He says that for my tankless water heater (that has a built in circulation pump) that I actually need a circuit board extension instead of a pump. I say ok and call the office the next day. I get another estimate for the circuit board and ask the invoice for current work. It includes the pump still… so I call back the office and she tells me that I need both pump and a circuit board. This sounds extremely fishy to me… I contact a supplier for my tankless water heater. Over the phone, a sales rep technician diagnosis that now my furnace intake/outtake lines are now crossed ( the new lines that were just installed! ) I then tell the office lady that I want the initial estimate to be honoured and want them to install the circuit board instead, because if I just needed the circuit board then I didn’t need have to have my plumbing redone. Instead of the owner calling me, the technician calls and immediately starts yelling at me. I basically got an argument with him for 20 minutes. He convinces me to let them come back to finish the job. I called the office the next day and they said they won’t do any additional work until I pay the initial invoice. At this point I had enough and called another company and had them fix it. DuPont did reduce my invoice by an hour and half after i asked them to. The office woman was good to deal with. Never heard from the owner during any of this situation to get reassurance even though I asked for him to call me. They are not familiar enough with tankless water heaters. This should have been an easy job and they made it difficult.
Dupont was excellent to deal with. The technician Jun was knowledgeable and repaired our Furnace and answered any questions we had. It was a pleasure dealing with the company. They will be our go to HVAC company from now on.
We have used Mario's heating services several years now. Dupont installed on On Demand water heater and recently a new furnace. There were some Kinks to be worked out but they didn't hesitate to respond and the technicians were very respectful and responsive. I liked Mario's Personal Touch when he came by to see that everything was being done correctly and adequately. This is a personal touch that we very much appreciate and we know we can call Mario anytime and we'll get timely advice and service. As well I think DuPont is not overpriced like some services. At least they're willing to negotiate and that's also something we like about Dupont Heating
We’ve dealt with Dupont Heating & AC for several years and it has always been a very positive experience. We just had a new furnace installed to replace one that stopped working. Mario’s response on a Sunday evening, during sub-zero January temperatures, was immediate. The installation was completed within 24 hours of having made that call. As always, the installation was well executed in good time and the new furnace is great! So nice to have a service provider that you can rely on.
Dupont did a fantastic job installing a new furnace. Mario and his team explained the process and the job details clearly. The installers had a challenging time with venting the new furnace but took the time to do it right. Their pricing is extremely competitive and is in fact better than the others. I highly recommend them.
